Creating open space for intercultural dialogue

Workshop was aimed to engage into discussions about possibilities to involve refugee youth in common events with the minority groups living in Latvia for generations. In this case the Polish community, who still keep the links with their ethnical homeland Poland.

Enriching the cultural awareness and learning from each other can be a great starting point for intercultural dialogue and relations. How do the Polish people, who live in Latvia, have managed to integrate, learn the Latvian language and be active citizens were the main topics. The dialogue was continued with possibilities of sharing the experience with refugee families and youth for common workshops and activities to create links and new friendships between people of various backgrounds.
