The best way to bring people together is trough sports. It can be used as a medium to combat racism, and a tool that promotes cultural diversity from different cultures and backgrounds. Keeping that in mind, the united football tournament was held in the central stadium of Jonava. Many squads competed with each other sharing a common sense of respect. In the end, only one team was crowned as champions but every participant felt like a winner as they made new friends and built the skills of teamwork.
For those, who didn’t feel like playing football – there were also alternatives to show solidarity towards each other. We had volunteers who helped children to draw their hands and leave their hand-prints. Others were playing and twisting balloons, just like the clowns, making lovely animals. There was even an competition of twisting a creepiest allien as possible.
